Banks in Uganda are set to launch a Shs 1TN export credit facility. The facility is designed to support Ugandan exporters and make it easier for them to access funding to support their businesses. It is expected to improve the country’s exports of goods and services, as well as reduce the cost of capital for businesses. It is also expected to help increase the amount of foreign exchange entering Uganda’s economy, boosting the country’s international trade. The facility will be accessible to all Ugandan exporters and will be offered by partnering financial institutions.
The facility will help Ugandan exporters to access more competitive financial resources, which will in turn help stimulate the country’s export sector.
